Everybody loves free stuff, right? As a designer I love free fonts, so I thought I’d share some of the latest and greatest free fonts available from around the web. Obviously, because these fonts are free, they are going to be very common, so use them wisely!

Just a few pointers for those who seek to employ freelancers at any point. Most of my clients have treated me brilliantly, but there have been a couple (who shall forever remain nameless!) who have really treated me awfully. Hence this post.
We have been looking around lately for decent Flash content management systems for one of our clients. There are a few attractive looking solutions around, so we thought we’d share some of them with you.
A recent experience I have had was with a client who hired a graphic designer to come up with a re-brand, but basically started with the website and moved backwards to the brand. I came to the project late and discovered to my horror that the website had been completely set in stone by the designer, rather rashly signed-off by the client and then handed over to me to create.
Edit: This opinion is completely out of date! Is’t it amazing what a difference a few years can make in the world of web design!! I now very rarely use Flash, as most animation can be done with Javascript. Looks like the late Steve Jobs was right, damn his eyes!

Yes, I know banners can be annoying! Trying to get you to buy some shit or other you don’t really need. But some of them can be really pretty and well made. It’s a tricky thing to do to design an eye-catching banner and bring it all in under 30K, believe me.
Some of these banners are brilliant, so enjoy.
Whilst working on a site, I discovered this neat little online tool for creating screen-movies.
It runs on Java and is really simple to use. Whilst lacking some of the features of much more expensive screencasting software, it certainly does what it needs to do.
